High-Quality Fused Cast β-Alumina Block RTK-H - China Suppliers & Factory for Superior Glass Performance
Brief Introduction
Fused and cast alumina products are alumina series fused and cast blocks made of high-purity alumina raw materials, which are melted in an electric arc furnace at a high temperature above 2000℃. Due to the use of high-purity raw materials, less impurities and almost no matrix glass phase, it has excellent low contamination performance to the molten glass.
The crystal phase structure of the fused alumina series is composed of α-alumina and β-alumina, which has different composition ratios. The products of different varieties have different properties and can meet different operating conditions. According to its crystal phase structure, it is divided into α-β corundum brick (RTK-M), β-corundum brick (RTK-H) and α-corundum brick (RTK-A). Further classification shall be made according to the appearance quality specification level and casting method. These classifications can meet the different application requirements of fused cast corundum series in glass furnaces and metallurgical electrolyzers.
RTK-H is composed of nearly 100% β-alumina with a dense structure and high resistance to spalling, especially showing extremely high corrosion resistance to strong alkali vapor, almost no glass phase, and no contamination to molten glass. It can be used for superstructures with little glass raw material scattering or oxy-fuel combustion furnace, and it can give full play to its excellent performance.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are fused and cast alumina products made of?
They are made of high-purity alumina raw materials, melted in an electric arc furnace at temperatures exceeding 2000℃, resulting in low impurities and minimal matrix glass phase.
What is the crystal phase structure classification of these products?
They are classified into three types based on their α-alumina and β-alumina composition ratios: α-β corundum brick (RTK-M), β-corundum brick (RTK-H), and α-corundum brick (RTK-A).
What makes RTK-H highly resistant to glass contamination?
RTK-H contains nearly 100% β-alumina and has almost no glass phase, which prevents contamination to the molten glass during high-temperature operations.
Where is RTK-H typically applied in glass furnaces?
It is ideally suited for superstructures with minimal glass raw material scattering or in oxy-fuel combustion furnaces where strong alkali vapor resistance is required.
What is the typical chemical composition of RTK-H?
RTK-H typically consists of 92.5% Al₂O₃, 6.5% Na₂O, and less than or equal to 1% of combined SiO₂, CaO, Fe₂O₃, and TiO₂.
What are the physical density and compression strength values of RTK-H?
It features a bulk density of 2.9 g/cm³ (dense part), normal temperature compression resistance of 80 MPa, and a load softening start temperature of 1700℃ at 0.2 MPa.
