Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
RTK fused cast AZS blocks are categorized based on their ZrO₂ content into RTK-AZS41 (41% ZrO₂), RTK-AZS36 (36% ZrO₂), and RTK-AZS33 (33% ZrO₂). Additionally, low silicon low sodium variations exist, namely RTK-AZS36D and RTK-AZS33D.
Due to the advanced oxidation fused cast process and the use of high-purity raw materials, the blocks experience almost no carbon contamination from the electrode, ensuring high purity and minimal discoloration of the glass melt.
RTK-AZS41 is ideal for key furnace regions subject to severe glass corrosion, such as fully electric melting furnaces, the throat, weir, bubbler blocks, and doghouse corner blocks.
The "D" series (RTK-AZS36D and RTK-AZS33D) reduces the SiO₂ and Na₂O content in their chemical composition to optimize specific corrosion resistance properties based on different casting methods and furnace requirements.
The calculated specific gravity varies by casting style: Ordinary/inclined casting yields 3.65 g/cm³, Quasi-non shrinkage casting yields 3.90 g/cm³, and Non-shrinkage casting yields the highest density at 4.00 g/cm³.
