    Brief Introduction

RTK fused cast AZS blocks are made of high-quality purified raw materials, using a special electric arc furnace, and a fused cast process that has undergone long arc melting and oxidation treatment. This process has almost no carbon contamination from the electrode. Due to the oxidation fused cast process and the use of high-purity raw materials, RTK fused cast AZS series have special and high resistance to the corrosion of molten glass, and have little contamination to the molten glass.
Fused cast AZS products can be divided into 41# AZS block (RTK-AZS41), 36 # AZS block (RTK-AZS36) and 33 # AZS block(RTK-AZS33) according to the different ZrO₂, content in the chemical composition. In addition, on the basis of RTK-AZS36 and RTK-AZS33 manufacturing processes, the content of corresponding chemical components of Si0₂ and Na₂O has been reduced, and two products, 36 # low silicon low sodium AZS blocks (RTK-AZS36D) and 33 # low silicon low sodium AZS blocks (RTK-AZS33D), have been formed. These five products are further classified according to different casting methods, which can meet the different use requirements of fused cast products in glass furnaces.
RTK-AZS41 has high corrosion resistance and low pollution to molten glass, and is suitable for parts in glass furnace that require high corrosion resistance, such as fully electric melting furnace, throat, weir, bubbler block, and doghouse corner block.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What are the different types of RTK fused cast AZS blocks?

RTK fused cast AZS blocks are categorized based on their ZrO₂ content into RTK-AZS41 (41% ZrO₂), RTK-AZS36 (36% ZrO₂), and RTK-AZS33 (33% ZrO₂). Additionally, low silicon low sodium variations exist, namely RTK-AZS36D and RTK-AZS33D.

Q: Why do RTK AZS blocks cause minimal contamination to molten glass?

Due to the advanced oxidation fused cast process and the use of high-purity raw materials, the blocks experience almost no carbon contamination from the electrode, ensuring high purity and minimal discoloration of the glass melt.

Q: Which furnace areas are best suited for RTK-AZS41?

RTK-AZS41 is ideal for key furnace regions subject to severe glass corrosion, such as fully electric melting furnaces, the throat, weir, bubbler blocks, and doghouse corner blocks.

Q: What is the purpose of the "D" series (low silicon low sodium) AZS blocks?

The "D" series (RTK-AZS36D and RTK-AZS33D) reduces the SiO₂ and Na₂O content in their chemical composition to optimize specific corrosion resistance properties based on different casting methods and furnace requirements.

Q: How does the casting method affect the specific gravity of AZS blocks?

The calculated specific gravity varies by casting style: Ordinary/inclined casting yields 3.65 g/cm³, Quasi-non shrinkage casting yields 3.90 g/cm³, and Non-shrinkage casting yields the highest density at 4.00 g/cm³.
