High Purity Fused Cast Zirconia Block (RTK-Z9540) - China Suppliers & Factory for Glass Furnace Applications
Brief Introduction
Fused cast zirconia blocks are high zirconia refractories made by melting high purity raw materials through special casting process. The series of molten high zirconium bricks mainly includes RTK-Z9540 (zirconium content >89%) and RTK-Z9510 (zirconium content >93%) RTK-Z9540 Mineral composition: ZrO₂ (89 %), SiO₂ (9%), Na₂O (0.05%).
The crystalline structure of fused cast zirconia blocks is mainly composed of baddeleyite. Therefore, it has extremely high corrosion resistance and low foaming rate characteristics. These advantages effectively prevent the contamination of the molten glass.
Fused cast zirconia blocks can be widely used in various glass furnaces, especially high quality and special glass furnaces, such as liquid crystal substrate glass furnaces, high alumina glass furnaces, borosilicate glass furnaces, halogen lighting glass furnaces, glass ceramic furnaces, glass fiber furnaces, etc.
Zirconia refractory products are produced with PLC programmed special electric furnaces and special material incubators. During casting, the shrinkage cavity block is obtained after molding. This casting method is generally used for cast zirconia block products.
Fused cast high zirconium brick is one of our four core products. The main physical and chemical indexes of the high zirconium brick series products produced by Reftech have reached the level of international mainstream suppliers, and the quality of products can be fully guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1:
What are the main components of fused cast zirconia blocks?
Fused cast zirconia blocks primarily consist of baddeleyite crystals. For instance, the RTK-Z9540 series features a chemical composition of 89% ZrO₂, 9.1% SiO₂, 1.5% Al₂O₃, and 0.1% Na₂O.
Q2:
What are the key advantages of using baddeleyite-based zirconia blocks?
The baddeleyite crystalline structure provides exceptionally high corrosion resistance and a low foaming rate, which prevents contamination of the molten glass during production.
Q3:
Which glass furnaces are suitable for these high zirconia refractories?
They are ideal for high-quality and specialized glass furnaces, including liquid crystal substrate glass furnaces, high alumina glass, borosilicate glass, halogen lighting glass, glass ceramics, and glass fiber furnaces.
Q4:
How are these zirconia refractory products manufactured?
They are produced using a PLC-programmed special electric furnace and a dedicated material incubator. The process involves casting high-purity raw materials where the shrinkage cavity block is obtained post-molding.
Q5:
What is the quality level of Reftech's high zirconium brick series?
The physical and chemical indexes of Reftech's high zirconium bricks match the standards of top international mainstream suppliers, ensuring reliable quality and performance.
