High-Performance Fused Cast AZS Block RTK-AZS41 from China Suppliers and Factory with Superior Corrosion Resistance
Brief Introduction
RTK fused cast AZS blocks are made of high-quality purified raw materials, using a special electric arc furnace, and a fused cast process that has undergone long arc melting and oxidation treatment. This process has almost no carbon contamination from the electrode. Due to the oxidation fused cast process and the use of high-purity raw materials, RTK fused cast AZS series have special and high resistance to the corrosion of molten glass, and have little contamination to the molten glass.
Fused cast AZS products can be divided into 41# AZS block (RTK-AZS41), 36 # AZS block (RTK-AZS36) and 33 # AZS block(RTK-AZS33) according to the different ZrO₂ content in the chemical composition. In addition, on the basis of RTK-AZS36 and RTK-AZS33 manufacturing processes, the content of corresponding chemical components of SiO₂ and Na₂O has been reduced, and two products, 36 # low silicon low sodium AZS blocks (RTK-AZS36D) and 33 # low silicon low sodium AZS blocks (RTK-AZS33D), have been formed. These five products are further classified according to different casting methods, which can meet the different use requirements of fused cast products in glass furnaces.
RTK-AZS41 has high corrosion resistance and low pollution to molten glass, and is suitable for parts in glass furnace that require high corrosion resistance, such as fully electric melting furnace, throat, weir, bubbler block, and doghouse corner block.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q What classifications are available for RTK fused cast AZS blocks?
RTK fused cast AZS blocks are classified into 41# AZS (RTK-AZS41), 36# AZS (RTK-AZS36), and 33# AZS (RTK-AZS33) based on their ZrO₂ content. There are also low silicon low sodium variations: 36# (RTK-AZS36D) and 33# (RTK-AZS33D).
Q Which parts of a glass furnace are best suited for RTK-AZS41?
RTK-AZS41 is ideal for furnace areas requiring maximum corrosion resistance and low glass contamination, such as fully electric melting furnaces, throats, weirs, bubbler blocks, and doghouse corner blocks.
Q How does the manufacturing process prevent carbon contamination?
By utilizing high-purity raw materials and a specialized electric arc furnace with an oxidation fused cast process, electrode carbon contamination is almost entirely eliminated.
Q What is the typical chemical composition of RTK-AZS41?
RTK-AZS41 typically consists of 41% ZrO₂, 12% SiO₂, with Al₂O₃ as the remainder. Other impurities (Fe₂O₃+TiO₃+CaO+MgO+Na₂O+K₂O) are kept strictly at or below 2.0%.
Q What are the typical physical properties of these AZS blocks?
They feature a bulk density (dense part) of 4.05 g/cm³, apparent porosity of 0.6%, a vitreous phase initial precipitation temperature of 1400°C, and a static anti-erosion speed of 1.2 mm/24hr.
Q How does the specific gravity change based on the casting method?
The calculated specific gravity is 3.65 g/cm³ for ordinary/inclined casting, 3.90 g/cm³ for quasi-non shrinkage casting, and 4.00 g/cm³ for non-shrinkage casting.
