High-Performance Fused Cast 33# AZS Block from China Suppliers and Factory for Glass Melting Applications
Brief Introduction
RTK fused cast AZS blocks are made of high-quality purified raw materials, using a special electric arc furnace, and a fused cast process that has undergone long arc melting and oxidation treatment. This process has almost no carbon contamination from the electrode. Due to the oxidation fused cast process and the use of high-purity raw materials, RTK fused cast AZS series have special and high resistance to the corrosion of molten glass, and have little contamination to the molten glass.
Fused cast AZS products can be divided into 41# AZS block (RTK-AZS41), 36 # AZS block (RTK-AZS36) and 33 # AZS block (RTK-AZS33) according to the different ZrO₂ content in the chemical composition.
RTK-AZS33, a high-performance refractory material, is particularly superior in preventing molten glass from being contaminated. It has little tendency to cause stones, bubbles and matrix glass phase precipitation in the glass. It is applicable to the upper structure of the melting end, the side wall of the working pool, the paving blocks and forehearth, etc.
Standardly poured AZS33 block is suitable for working tank, forehearth, superstructure and crown, while AZS33 poured without shrinkage cavities is suitable for tank sidewall, tank bottom, forehearth, C-shaped block, doghouse arch, superstructure and etc.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1:
What makes RTK fused cast AZS blocks highly resistant to glass corrosion?
RTK fused cast AZS blocks are manufactured using high-quality purified raw materials and a specialized electric arc furnace. Through a long arc melting and oxidation treatment, the process eliminates electrode carbon contamination, resulting in superior resistance to molten glass corrosion.
Q2:
How are the different types of RTK fused cast AZS blocks classified?
They are classified based on the ZrO₂ content in their chemical composition into three main grades: RTK-AZS41 (41% ZrO₂), RTK-AZS36 (36% ZrO₂), and RTK-AZS33 (33% ZrO₂).
Q3:
What are the main applications of RTK-AZS33?
RTK-AZS33 is ideal for areas where preventing glass contamination is critical. It is commonly used in the upper structure of the melting end, the side walls of working pools, paving blocks, forehearths, and crowns.
Q4:
What is the difference between standard poured and non-shrinkage AZS33 blocks?
Standardly poured AZS33 blocks are suited for working tanks, forehearths, superstructures, and crowns. AZS33 blocks poured without shrinkage cavities (non-shrinkage) are designed for demanding areas like tank sidewalls, tank bottoms, forehearths, C-shaped blocks, and doghouse arches.
Q5:
What is the typical chemical composition of RTK-AZS33?
RTK-AZS33 typically consists of 33.5% ZrO₂, 15% SiO₂, with Al₂O₃ making up the remainder. Impurities like Fe₂O₃, TiO₂, CaO, MgO, Na₂O, and K₂O are kept strictly below or equal to 2.0%.
Q6:
What are the key physical properties of RTK-AZS33?
It features a bulk density of 3.80 g/cm³ for dense parts, an apparent porosity of 0.7%, and an initial vitreous phase precipitation temperature of 1400°C. Its static anti-molten glass erosion speed is 1.4 mm/24hr.
