Fused Cast β-Alumina Block RTK-H – High Corrosion Resistance Glass Furnace Material from China Suppliers Factory

RTK-H is an advanced refractory material composed of nearly 100% β-alumina, featuring a dense structure that ensures exceptional resistance to spalling. This material is particularly renowned for its outstanding corrosion resistance to strong alkali vapors, with minimal glass phase presence, guaranteeing no contamination to molten glass. As a top choice among suppliers in China, RTK-H is ideal for use in superstructures with minimal glass raw material scattering and oxy-fuel combustion furnaces, maximizing its performance capabilities. It is perfect for applications such as the superstructure of the working end, doghouse arch, and hearth cover, offering remarkable low contamination performance for molten glass. Trust in our factory to deliver top-quality RTK-H solutions that meet the demands of modern glass production.

    Brief Introduction

Fused and cast alumina products are alumina series fused and cast blocks made of high-purity alumina raw materials, which are melted in an electric arc furnace at a high temperature above 2000℃. Due to the use of high-purity raw materials, less impurities and almost no matrix glass phase, it has excellent low contamination performance to the molten glass.
The crystal phase structure of the fused alumina series is composed of α-alumina and β-alumina, which has different composition ratios. The products of different varieties have different properties and can meet different operating conditions. According to its crystal phase structure, it is divided into α-β corundum brick (RTK-M), β-corundum brick (RTK-H) and α-corundum brick (RTK-A). Further classification shall be made according to the appearance quality specification level and casting method. These classifications can meet the different application requirements of fused cast corundum series in glass furnaces and metallurgical electrolyzers.
RTK-H is composed of nearly 100% β-alumina with a dense structure and high resistance to spalling, especially showing extremely high corrosion resistance to strong alkali vapor, almost no glass phase, and no contamination to molten glass. It can be used for superstructures with little glass raw material scattering or oxy-fuel combustion furnace, and it can give full play to its excellent performance.

What are fused and cast alumina products made of?
They are alumina series fused and cast blocks made of high-purity alumina raw materials, melted in an electric arc furnace at a high temperature above 2000℃.
Why do these products have low contamination to molten glass?
Due to the use of high-purity raw materials, they contain fewer impurities and almost no matrix glass phase, providing excellent low contamination performance.
What are the different varieties based on crystal phase structure?
They are divided into α-β corundum brick (RTK-M), β-corundum brick (RTK-H), and α-corundum brick (RTK-A) depending on the composition ratios of α-alumina and β-alumina.
What are the main characteristics of RTK-H corundum brick?
RTK-H is composed of nearly 100% β-alumina, featuring a dense structure, high resistance to spalling, high resistance to strong alkali vapor, and almost no glass phase.
Where is the RTK-H corundum brick typically used?
It is ideal for superstructures with little glass raw material scattering or in oxy-fuel combustion furnaces, as well as glass furnaces and metallurgical electrolyzers.
What is the typical chemical composition of RTK-H?
    RTK-H typically contains 92.5% Al₂O₃, 6.5% Na₂O, and ≤1% of SiO₂ + CaO + Fe₂O₃ + TiO₂.
