China Suppliers Factory Fused Cast α-β-Alumina Block (RTK-M) for High-Grade Glass Furnace Applications

RTK-M is a high-quality material produced by leading China suppliers, composed of approximately 50% α-alumina and 50% β-alumina. The unique interlocking of these two crystal structures results in a dense and robust product that exhibits exceptional resistance to strong alkalis. Its performance against the erosion of molten glass is comparable to AZS within the temperature range below 1350℃, Notably, RTK-M contains minimal impurities, such as Fe₂O₃ and TiO₂, resulting in a very small matrix glass phase. This characteristic significantly reduces the risk of contamination in molten glass, preventing the formation of foreign particles, like bubbles, during contact. As a result, RTK-M is ideally suited for use in high-grade glass furnaces, including working pool walls, pavements, material channels, and channels, Choose RTK-M from our factory to ensure superior quality and performance for your glass manufacturing needs

    Brief Introduction

Fused and cast alumina products are alumina series fused and cast blocks made of high-purity alumina raw materials, which are melted in an electric arc furnace at a high temperature above 2000℃. Due to the use of high-purity raw materials, less impurities and almost no matrix glass phase, it has excellent low contamination performance to the molten glass.
The crystal phase structure of the fused alumina series is composed of α-alumina and β-alumina, which has different composition ratios. The products of different varieties have different properties and can meet different operating conditions. According to its crystal phase structure, it is divided into α-β corundum brick (RTK-M), β-corundum brick (RTK-H) and α-corundum brick (RTK A). Further classification shall be made according to the appearance quality specification level and casting method. These classifications can meet the different application requirements of fused cast corundum series in glass furnaces and metallurgical electrolyzers.
RTK-M is composed of about 50% each of α-alumina and β-alumina, and the interlocking of the two crystals forms a very dense structure with excellent resistance to strong alkalis.
Its resistance to erosion of molten glass is comparable to that of AZS in the temperature range below 1350℃. Since it contains almost no impurities such as Fe₂O₃ and TiO₂, the matrix glass phase is very small, and it has the excellent property of not contaminating the molten glass by minimizing the occurrence of foreign matter such as bubbles when in contact with the molten glass.
Therefore, it is the most suitable for working pool wall, pavement, material channel and channel of high-grade glass furnace.

    Frequently Asked Questions
What are fused and cast alumina products made of?
They are made of high-purity alumina raw materials melted in an electric arc furnace at a high temperature above 2000℃. Thanks to the high-purity raw materials, they contain fewer impurities and almost no matrix glass phase.
What is the crystal phase structure of RTK-M corundum bricks?
RTK-M is composed of about 50% each of α-alumina and β-alumina. The interlocking structure of these two crystals forms a very dense structure with excellent resistance to strong alkalis.
How does RTK-M prevent contamination of molten glass?
Because RTK-M contains almost no impurities such as Fe₂O₃ and TiO₂, the matrix glass phase is minimal. This minimizes the occurrence of foreign matter, such as bubbles, when in contact with molten glass.
What are the primary applications of RTK-M corundum bricks?
RTK-M is highly suitable for the working pool wall, pavement, material channel, and channel of high-grade glass furnaces.
What is the typical chemical composition of RTK-M?
The typical chemical composition consists of 94.0% Al₂O₃, 4.0% Na₂O, and less than or equal to 2.0% of SiO₂ + CaO + Fe₂O₃ + TiO₂.
What are the key physical properties of RTK-M?
RTK-M features a bulk density of 3.4 g/cm³ (dense part), normal temperature compression resistance of 240 MPa, and an anti-molten glass erosion speed of 0.2 mm/24h under static conditions (ordinary soda lime glass at 1350℃ for 48 hours).
